| The Upper Sixes runs from the Sixes River
Campground to the Edson Campground. This
part of the river is flowing down thru the
coastal range so is more technical than the
Lower Sixes. Parts of the river are
constricted. Paddlers must be able to
control their boat. After completing this
beautiful section of the river we are always a
bit tired, pleased, refreshed. This
section cannot be paddled in the summer due to
low water. Of all of the water that we
paddle on the coast this Upper Sixes section is
one of the more difficult.
Wetsuits are advised. Lifejackets are a
must. Longer boats (14'+) could have a bit
of difficulty. Shorter boats (10'±)
would certainly be appropriate.
